Vector Structures, LLC was established by Mr. Pavel Kravets, with the objective of providing comprehensive engineering services and establishing enduring client relationships. It is a compact, well-resourced and efficient practice and has been involved in many large projects since its inception.

Pavel Kravets, principal, graduated from Saint Petersburg University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Russia in 1985, receiving BSCE Degree. In 1993 he graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with MSCE. Both, undergraduate and graduate curriculums have emphasis in structures. Pavel Kravets has a professional Engineering License in numerous states and he is a member of PCI Seismic Committee. Prior to starting his own firm, he worked for structural engineering, specialty contractors and A/E consulting firms as well as a structural software company. Pavel Kravets has more than 20 years of experience in structural design and design supervision for almost all building types and sizes.

Alex Mihaylov brings extensive senior-level experience to the firm. With 29 years of experience in structural engineering design, Alex specializes in new and existing structures of various materials and structural systems; commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. His knowledge and expertise includes various reinforced concrete structural systems: precast, tilt-up, cast-in-place, pre-tensioned and post-tensioned. Alex has worked on a diverse range of building and structure types utilizing combinations of different structural materials: concrete, steel, masonry, and timber. His involvement in seismic assessment and retrofit projects provides the knowledge of which systems and connections perform well and ensure lower life-cycle cost and durability.

He has a special interest in finite-element dynamic analyses for seismic, blast, progressive collapse, blast, vibrations, and other phenomena.

Throughout his career, Alex has been a proponent of precast concrete construction. He has been a member and chair of several technical committees and task forces with the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI).
